Jyväskylän helluntaiseurakunta lomauttaa henkilöstöään

Jyväskylän helluntaiseurakunnan vanhimmisto on päättänyt lomauttaa osa-aikaisesti kotimaan henkilöstön suntiota lukuun ottamatta. Korkeintaan 90 päivän mittainen lomautus alkaa 24.10.2025. Lomautuksen perusteena ovat taloudelliset syyt.
Tämä tilanne on seurakuntamme historiassa poikkeuksellinen ja toivottavasti myös jää ainutlaatuiseksi, toteaa vanhimmiston puheenjohtaja Juha Suni. Tällä toimenpiteellä pystymme korjaamaan talouttamme pidempään rasittaneen menojen ja tulojen epäsuhdan, eikä näköpiirissä ole tarvetta pidemmille lomautuksille, Suni arvioi.
Talous- ja hallintojaosto sekä vanhimmisto huomioivat taloustilanteen ensi vuoden budjetin valmistelussa. Talouden sopeuttamisen tapoja tarkastellaan laajasti ja päätöksistä tiedotetaan seurakunnalle budjetin laadinnan edetessä.
Seurakuntatyön jatkuminen pyritään turvaamaan työntekijöiden lomautusten toteutuessa, mutta joitain työmuotoja joudutaan mahdollisesti keskeyttämään hetkeksi. Näistä muutoksista tiedotetaan ennen lomautusten alkamista.

Jyväskylä Pentecostal Church lays off its staff

The elders of the Jyväskylä Pentecostal Church have decided to temporarily lay off part of their domestic staff, with the exception of the sexton. The layoff, which will last for a maximum of 90 days, will begin on October 24, 2025. The layoff is due to financial reasons.
This situation is exceptional in the history of our church and will hopefully remain unique, says Juha Suni, chairman of the elders. With this measure, we will be able to correct the imbalance between expenditure and income that has been weighing on our finances for some time, and there is no need for longer layoffs in sight, Suni estimates.
The finance and administration committee and the elders will take the financial situation into account when preparing next year’s budget. Ways of adjusting the finances will be examined extensively, and the congregation will be informed of the decisions as the budget is drawn up.
Efforts will be made to ensure the continuation of ministry work in the event of layoffs, but some activities may have to be suspended for a short period. Information about these changes will be provided before the layoffs begin.
